In a nutshell, life has been GREAT! We are enjoying watching Andee change every day and come into her personality.
Here are a few updates:
We are finally just about done with our bathroom project. There was basically a 6 foot cave underneath the slab in our bathroom. Obviously whoever lived here before had some work done and it was not done correctly. Quite a surprise to us! Thankfully our homeowners insurance covered the majority of the work, so we were able to get the bathroom fixed and upgraded! NICE!
My sister is living with us and not only being a fun roommate, but also acting as a live-in nanny and personal chef. Andee absolutely loves her Aunt Sissy!! Heath & I are soooooooooooooooo lucky to have her here - it's been so fun!
We had quite a big scare with Andee last month. I took her in to the doc to talk to them about her crying fits, wondering if it was reflux. Much to my surprise, the doc noticed that the soft spot on the top of her head was swollen and that raised a quick red flag. She immediately sent us to Texas Children's Hospital for a ct-scan. OMG! I was trying with all my yogic might not to break down with fear & worry. Heath met us at the hospital, so we could support each other through this scary moment. I tell you what, it was quite frightening to see your 7 week old baby girl strapped into a ct-scanner. To make a long story short, Andee has a "bulging fontenelle". There's lots of scary stuff that goes along with that term, but thankfully the scan came back and showed that everything is OK. We are still watching her closely though!
I wrote into Pregnancy magazine in December and told the story of how we came up with Andee's name AND THEY PUBLISHED IT!!! It is in the February edition of the magazine on page 15. How fun! :)
Opening my own small yoga studio has been in the back of my mind since I got my certification. I started looking at spaces and was on the verge of making it happen, but instead I found an established dance studio that has a perfect room for me to rent 2 days a week. I started class this week! Andee is approaching her 3 month birthday. I can't believe how fast time flies. Can't we just slow down the clock for a little while???
