Heath & I waited and waited for labor to start on its own, but that just wasn't happening so we were admitted to the hospital on Sunday night for the induction process to begin.
I was admitted at 7:30pm on Sunday and at about 8:30 they gave me cytotek to hopefully get my cervix to dilate. I wasn't able to get up from the bed for 2 hours. Don't they know that pregnant women need to pee like every 20 minutes?!?! Miserable! 4 hours after the cytotek was given, they checked to see if I was dilated...nope. They gave it to me again and then checked again after 4 hours...only 1cm dilated. They started pitocin at about 7am and the misery began.
After 18 hours I had only dilated 2cm (and was having back labor...yikes!), so at about 3pm on Monday we decided to go forward with the c-section. Not too much later, our little angel was born.
Seeing Andee for the first time was definitely the highlight of my life so far. I was bawling like nobody's business, but it was all tears of pure joy! Never before has life changed so dramatically in such a short period of time.
Heath & I are looking forward to the future with bright eyes! We are head over heels in love with this little girl and can't wait to see what's in store for her life...big things I am sure!
