Due Date Came & Went

Yesterday, November 7th, was our official due date. The day came and went without much excitement. We went on 2 long walks hoping to get the labor juices flowing (is that TMI?) and I did what I could to help Heath with a little yard work. I felt great all day and was keeping busy, but towards the end of the evening I started to feel not-so-great. I took a hot bath and think I stayed in too long, so I couldn't seem to get cool for a while after. Then I started to feel nauseous a little. I was thinking that maybe, just maybe, something was going to happen. NOPE! O-well.

We woke up this morning, had a sweet potato pancake breakfast and took a long walk. Right before the football game started we took another walk down to the convenient store so I could get a Dr. Pepper (yuuuummy). Now we are in the last 5+ minutes of the Texans v. Colts game trying to stay calm. I think I should get out of here and take another walk...maybe Heath should step away from the TV too (yikes).

I am thinking of going to meet with my friend Susan for some acupuncture. There are 8 labor induction points and in her experience, 5 of 6 women went into labor within 8-20 hours following the session. The baby is not gonna come if she's not ready but acupuncture has been reported to speed the labor process and has been used for centuries to induce labor. Why not give it a try?!?!? We'll see...

Watching the due date come and go is a very strange feeling. You have this specific date in your mind for 9 months and when it passes by with no baby, it is pretty disappointing. I am a fairly patient person, but I reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeally want to see my little angels face. So here I sit, practicing my yogic breathing and doing my very best to take my own advice and "let life happen".

Come oooooooooooooooooooooooon Andee!

btw -- Texans lost by a hair. If only Andee would decide to come now...Heath's mood could change from bad to ecstatic in a matter of moments. ;)
